What did this American Airlines Pilot See?
A pilot bound for Phoenix, on American Airlines Flight 2292 saw, what he described as a long cylindrical object. This information is coming from an aviation blog DEEP BLACK HORIZON. Various news outlets have reported on the sighting since its release. The full recording is well worth a listen, and is available from DEEP BLACK HORIZON. Flight 2292’s strange encounter begins at 1:13:09.
“Do you have any targets up here? We just had something go right over the top of us I hate to say this but it looked like a long cylindrical object that almost looked like a cruise missile type of thing moving really fast right over the top of us.

The FBI issued the following statement regarding the sighting:
“While our policy is to neither confirm nor deny investigations, the FBI works continuously with our federal, state, local, and tribal partners to share intelligence and protect the public. Anyone who is aware of suspicious or criminal activity should contact their local law enforcement agency or the FBI.”
Of course the FBI is not going to confirm or deny any UFO activity. It’s also important to keep in mind is that this incident took place close to White Sands Missile Range. Both WSMR and Kirtland AFB have confirmed they had no knowledge of any objects in the area at the time. ADS-B logs noted that there were no significant military aircraft presence either.
This report comes just over a month after a mysterious blue UFO was spotted over Hawaii. The event was reported on by Hawaii News Now and was filmed by several eye-witnesses.
