Adam Warlock will be created to destroy the Guardians
As we saw in the post credit scene for Guardians 2, Adam Warlock will be created the Sovereign leader Ayesha. The scene shows a clearly frazzled Ayesha sitting in front of a new birthing pod claiming that what’s inside is “The next step in our evolution, more powerful, more beautiful, and capable of destroying the Guardians of the Galaxy.” While this origin differs from the comic books, it does fit slightly better into the MCU.
Since he first debuted in 1972, Adam Warlock has been a key figure on the cosmic side of Marvel comics. He was originally was created on earth by a group of scientists known as the Enclave. They sought to create the perfect being and in doing so gave birth to ‘Him’. Almost immediately however ‘Him’ sensed the evil intentions of his creators and fled.
