Snyder’s Justice League Sequels In Development At Warner Brothers.
Justice League 2 and 3 are officially in development over at Warner Brothers. Following the huge success of ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’ on HBO Max, fans stormed twitter with a campaign to #Restorethesnyderverse. Initially, Brother’s CEO Ann Sarnoff had dashed any hopes of a sequel follow up to the Snyder Cut, but has since had time to re-evaluate her decision.
We simply didn’t realize how much of a demand there was for Zack’s take on Justice League.Ann Sarnoff, Warner Brother’s CEO
However, the sequel news isn’t the only thing to come from this announcement. Sarnoff then confirmed that the upcoming DCEU films including Aquaman 2 and the Shazam sequel will be considered “Elseworlds” stories. Zack Snyder’s Justice League and its sequels will now be considered the main continuity for DC films moving forward.
Following the release of his Justice League cut, Zack Snyder outlined his plans for the cancelled sequels. The films would have paid out on several plot points touched on with the first film. Although at the time, Snyder had said that he was not holding his breath on any sequels. However now it seems that Snyder, and his fans, can breath easy. There is no date on when production will be taking place. Nor is there word on whether Affleck or Cavil have signed back on. Even without further details, this huge shake up to the DC films is good news for fans.
