‘Loki’ Gets A New Trailer And Teases A Surprise Returning Character
Marvel Studio’s has given fans another look at the upcoming series coming to Disney+. ‘Loki’ take place follow the events of ‘Endgame’. In that film, the titular, trickster god managed to steal the Tesseract from the Avengers after the battle in New York. This Loki lacks any character development gained from ‘Thor: The Dark World’ and ‘Ragnarok’. Consequently, this will be a much different Loki than fans are used to.
The trailer shows us much more of the Time Variance Authority, or TVA for short. As mentioned in the trailer, the TVA is in charge of keeping the flow of time moving smoothly. After stealing the Tesseract and causing the timeline to branch, Loki falls under the crosshairs of the TVA.Â
Owen Wilson will be playing Loki’s captor and handler, Mobius M. Mobius. In the comic books, Mobius is a minor character tasked with brining the Fantastic Four to justice. Similarly, the ‘Loki’ version of this character will likely be tasked with doing the same thing. However, it would appear as though Mobius will have a more hands on approach to the matter, and will utilize Loki to correct the branching timelines.

‘Loki’ certainly looks to be just as weird, if not weirder then ‘WandaVision’.
However, the biggest surprise comes from late in the trailer. Although it is a very brief shot, we catch a glimpse of Loki sitting with someone in an unknown location. The woman sitting with him is dressed in black and sports the same hair style as Black Widow from ‘The Avengers’. Fans have already begun to speculate that this trailer confirms that Black Widow will return for ‘Loki’. While the idea is certainly not out of the realm of possibilities, it does seem highly unlikely. Marvel has a long history of altering movie trailers to avoid spoilers and this could be another example.

‘Loki’ will premier on June 11th, streaming on Disney+. Tom Hiddleston will be returning to the roll and will be joined by Owen Wilson, Wunmi Mosaku and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. Additionally, Sophia Di Martino, Richard E. Grant, Sasha Lane, and Erika Coleman have been cast in undisclosed roles.
