‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ Gets A New Clip With An Adorable Twist
Ghostbuster fans are celebrating the first new footage to be released since the first trailer dropped in 2019. A new clip from ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ was released today. It features an adorable twist on a classic character. It would appear that the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man from the 1984 film has an entourage now, or at least a hefty child support payment. Paul Rudd’s character is shown enjoying a simple trip to the grocery store when things get a bit strange.
The Mini-Puffs, as cute and cuddly as they seem, definitely seem to be a chip off their dads block. As the clip continues, we get a montage of a small hoard of the Mini-Puffs wreaking havoc around the store. Though they may not seem fully malicious in nature, the little guys are clearly capable of getting into some big trouble.
‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ will premier on November 11th, 2021.
Principle photography for ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ began back in 2019 and officially wrapped in October of the same year. Although the film was meant to be released in 2020, the global pandemic has pushed the release date back multiple times.
Ivan Reitman will return to produce ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’. Additionally, Ivan’s son Jason Reitman will take the helm as director and writer. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson will reprise their roles from the original films. Unfortunately there are no details as to the extent those characters will feature in the film. Similarly, Annie Potts and Sigourney Weaver will return as Jeanine Melnitz and Dana Barrett.
