‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ May Feature The Return Of Qui-Gon Jinn
Fans might actually get to have their cake and eat it too with the upcoming ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ series. The most recent Star Wars novel, Skywalker: A Family At War, may have teased the return of Qui-Gon Jinn. The section in question chronicles Kenobi’s exile to Tatooine after the events of ‘Revenge of the Sith’. In one passage, a very specific detail was given about Kenobi’s chats with his fallen master.

Before he and Yoda had parted ways, the old Jedi revealed that Obi-Wan’s beloved master Qui-Gon Jinn had returned from the netherworld of the Force, manifesting his conscious mind even after death. It took 10 years, but eventually, Obi-Wan was able to commune with his dearest friend, resurrected within the cosmic Force.

Conveniently, the upcoming Disney Plus series ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ will pick up ten years after Episode III. At this point, it would seem incredibly likely that the series kicks off with Obi-Wan finally making contact with Qui-Gon, setting into motion the events of the series.
Unfortunately, fans can only speculate at this point. There has been no confirmation that Liam Neeson will be returning or, for that matter, if Qui-Gon will is included at all. Ewan McGregor will be returning as Obi-Wan Kenobi. Additionally, Hayden Christiansen will also return as Darth Vader. ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ is scheduled to begin production later this month and will stream exclusively on Disney Plus.
