Filming for the ‘Hawkeye’ solo series has been underway in Atlanta for the past couple of weeks. The series will likely take cues from the Matt Fraction run of Hawkeye in the comic books, specifically “My Life As A Weapon”. After a short break from filming, an Instagram post from star Jeremy Renner seems to confirm that the series has wrapped, or is at least close to wrapping, production.

Renner took to social media and posted a quick selfie of himself in costume as Hawkeye. His caption reads “Last day for now, this is not goodby but see you soon. Although this doesn’t mean that filming is completed for the upcoming series, it does seem to point towards wrapping up. ‘Hawkeye’ is expected to release on Disney Plus later this year, so while it may be a little unlikely, there is a chance fans could see some sort of tease in the coming weeks.

‘Hawkeye’ still doesn’t have a set premiere date.

‘Hawkeye’ will star Jeremy Renner as the master archer and former Avenger Clint Barton. The series will explore his time spent as Ronin before the events of ‘Endgame’. Additionally, the series will see the introduction of Kate Bishop, Barton’s protégée, played by Hailee Steinfeld. Bishop is escribed by the actress as being a badass who’s physical abilities are though the roof. There are no details available as to who or what Hawkeye will be pitted against in the series. However, there is confirmation that Florence Pugh will reprise her role from ‘Black Widow’ as Yelena Belova, a member of the Red Room and master assassin. Additionally, there is also confirmation that Lucky the Pizza Dog will appear in the series.
