What Happened at Roswell? Now Available From Get Spooky!
Thirty miles outside of Roswell New Mexico in 1947, William Brazil made a strange discovery. What he found on his ranch were clusters of debris consisting of rubber strips, tinfoil and a rather tough paper. Flying disks had already been seen by members of the public and were making rounds in the news. Thinking that he may have evidence of one of these flying saucers, Brazil contacted Sherif George Wilcox of Roswell.
Wilcox brought Colonel William Blanchard of the Roswell Army Air Field (RAAF), along with him to Brazil’s ranch. The following day, the RAAF released a statement saying:
“The many rumors regarding the flying disc became a reality yesterday when the intelligence office of the 509th Bomb Group of the Eighth Air Force, Roswell Army Air Field, was fortunate enough to gain possession of a disc through the cooperation of one of the local ranchers and the sheriff’s office of Chaves County”

The RAAF quickly retracted this statement. In a second statement, the RAAF began claiming that the debris recovered from the ranch were from a downed weather balloon.
Over the years, the Roswell Incident has gained a large following among UFO researchers and enthusiasts, despite all evidence pointing to a terrestrial explanation.
